Under section 19 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW)

'A person conducting a business or undertaking must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable... health and safety.'

This duty is toward workers and any others that may be affected by what is planned to be undertaken. It applies to the working environment including plant and substances. 'Safe systems of work' including 'adequate facilities for the welfare at work of workers' and 'the provision of any information, training, instruction or supervision that is necessary to protect all persons from risks' is the responsibility of the principle.

This duty cannot be transferred to any other. However SCF can advise as to what is 'reasonably practicable' in relation to your undertaking. Third party objective analysis of risk and subsequent reasonable recommendations, demonstrates compliance to this non-prescriptive performance based law.

SCF understands the intention of the law and can help demonstrate your compliance by recordings what you already do or make sensible recommendations that suits your project.
